The Lake Benton Opera House will present "The Wizard of Oz in 10 performances beginning July 24.

"Stepping back in time" is a careworn cliché. But a stroll through Worthington's Pioneer Village really does evoke a feeling for what life must have been like in the early days of Southwest Minnesota's settlement.

"Never Shall I Forget-Brown County and the Dakota War" continues to draw visitors to the Brown County Historical Society museum in New Ulm.

The front stands open and customers are greeted before their first step touches the dusty old wooden floorboards.
